Orchids from tropical forests around the world have been transported to Kauai. There are 500,000 different species of flowering plants in the world. There are over 20,000 different species of Orchids in the world. Here we present 25 of the orchid species we encountered at Allerton and Limahule National Tropical Botanical Gardens and in greenhouses and flower markets and other places we visited on Kauai, the Garden Island.
