40th Reunion Photos Scrapbook

Family Picnic - Sunday

Sunday morning we travelled to Waimanalo to the Eve Glover Estate for our traditional Family Picnic.

Those who drove to Waimanalo Sunday via Hawaii Kai, Sandy Beach and Makapuu for old times sake were in for a real treat. The "Blowhole" never looked better.

The gang rests comfortably in the shade trees of the Glover Estate in Waimanalo, basking in the glow of the best '59 reunion ever, beginning to think and talk about the meaning of it all, and just enjoying this last opportunity to be with one another again at the most wonderful ending to the most wonderful reunion weekend ever.

Linda Jane and Libby "talk story" about the good old days and wishing we could all go back to simpler times when good friends were everything.

Kianalani, looking much more relaxed with the reunion festivities almost over, models the buff version of our '59 40th reunion "T" shirt with Bill supplying the appropriate Punahou blue to match.

More "buff 'n blue" forever. The beach and ocean on Sunday were glorious. Clear blue skies provided unlimited visibility of Lanai and Molokai. The azure blue ocean was as calm as we had ever seen it, and the buff sands of Waimanalo Beach never looked cleaner and brighter. This is the true original inspiration for the "Buff 'n Blue" colors of Punahou, the buff sands and the blue ocean waters of Hawaii. Go Punahou!

Lynn Jacobs and Don Smith cavort in the warm translucent ocean of Waimanalo.

A great big mahalo to ALL of the partners who joined the '59 classmates to share our 40th reunion. Lynn Jacobs' and Jan Hughes' "partners" Norm and Fred enjoyed the reunion festivities on Kauai and Honolulu. And they both look forward to coming back for our 45th.

This is what working out (before the reunion) can do for one's own morale, and others too. Looking good Steve and Valdeen. You make the brothers jealous, and the wahinis too.

Judi, Don, Doug and Enrique model their 40th Reunion "T" shirts for Valdeen, Steve and Jean.

"Da '59 Gang" enjoys the kau kau, shade and casual conversation, our last chance to "catch up" and just enjoy each others presence and company at the close of the most fabulous reunion ever. What a wonderful way to end the reunion weekend together. And we ALL make our commitments to return in five years to our 45th, and to tell the Reunion story so that next time even more of our classmates can join us. Aloha Nui Loa
