65th Reunion

1959   <-    Punahou Class of 1959   ->   2024

65 years have passed since we wide-eyed, gung-ho, naive 18 year olds were preparing to enter the big, wide world as new graduates. We were blessed with one special thing which is a part of all of us and ties us together for life, our unique Punahou experience as children of the '40s and '50s in the beautiful island paradise of Hawaii. At our 65th Reunion in June, we once again rekindled our precious memories, renewed old friendships, and made new ones we missed along the way.

Below are three Punahou Class of 1959 links you will enjoy.

1) Photo Album  1946  - 2023

2) 65th Reunion Photo Album - 2024

3) 65th Reunion - In Memoriam Video

View online the In Memoriam video showing photos of the 98 classmates who graduated with us in 1959 who have passed on ahead of us. That is one third of the 306 who graduated with us, but the national average our age of passings is 50% so we are well ahead of the curve due no doubt to our healthy upbringing in Hawaii, our healthy lifestyles since, and our positive associations with each other over the years.

From the editor....

"I have been collecting my own Punahou memorabilia over the years, building upon what my Mother saved for me starting in 1946 in Miss Mathewson's kindergarten class.  I put up our own '59 web site in January 2002 and have been posting my own stuff plus updates and photos sent by classmates.  It has grown over the years to what you see now.

I am pleased to defray the expenses for supporting our Class of 1959 web site through our Larson Family Foundation  which is supported by my venture capital firm   Investment Recovery Partners.

Today's easy to use digital photography combined with the Internet make our historic Reunions available to all of us through the amazing collection of photos sent in by classmates documenting these joyous watershed events in our lives.   I hope you enjoy our Reunion photos and the entire web site!

Me ke aloha pumehana, my warmest heartfelt mahalo and regards.   A Hui Hou !  (until we meet again)
